Halal Products Development Company and Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu signs a Cooperation Agreement

The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and the Halal Products Development Company, a wholly owned
Public Investment Fund subsidiary, have entered into a cooperation agreement aimed at advancing the
halal products industry within the Kingdom. This partnership is set to foster greater integration and
optimize the benefits associated with halal product concepts and practices.
The agreement was formalized in a ceremony attended by His Excellency Eng. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Salem,
President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and Mr. Fawaz Al-Harbi, Chairman of the Board of
Directors for the Halal Products Development Company.
Eng. Abdulhadi bin Abdulrahman Al-Juhani, CEO of Yanbu Industrial City, represented the Royal Commission for
Jubail and Yanbu in the signing, while Mr. Fahad bin Suliman Al-Nahit, CEO of the Halal Products Development
Company, signed on behalf of his organization.
This agreement aims to leverage the combined resources and capabilities of both parties to enhance and develop
the halal products sector. The collaboration will involve the exchange of information, expertise, and analyses,
focusing on the growth of the halal products industry within the cities governed by the Royal Commission. Additionally,
it seeks to maximize the advantages of consulting services provided by the Halal Products Development Company, thereby
ensuring mutual benefits.
Notably, Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries houses a special economic zone dedicated to the food industries,
including the Kingdom's first animal protein city. This zone specializes in the modern processing of meat, fish, and crustaceans,
underscoring the Kingdom's commitment to advancing its food processing capabilities.
